Registration Reminders
- Check Prerequisites: Some courses require specific test scores/course completion to qualify to take the course. Students will need to complete any prerequisites prior to registration.
- Placement Test Requirements
- English 1010: requires a Next Generation Accuplacer Writing score of 250 or higher
History 1700: requires a Next Generation Accuplacer Writing score of 250 or higher
History 2700: requires a Next Generation Accuplacer Writing score of 250 or higher
Political Science 1100 (POLS): requires a Next Generation Accuplacer Reading score of 239 or higher
Math 1050: requires an Aleks placement score of 46 or higher
Math 1060: requires an Aleks placement score of 52 or higher
- Students must complete CE registration directly through Utah Tech; registration in PowerSchool does NOT indicate registration for CE credit.
- Students can expect to spend 2 hours of work outside of class time for every college credit hour each week. For example, a 3-credit course typically requires 3 hours in class and 6 hours outside of class each week.
- Concurrent enrollment course content, expectations, and academic freedom in these classes are aligned with what is taught on campus to traditional college students. By enrolling in these courses, parents and students acknowledge that course materials may include sensitive content as defined by Utah law.
